Best time to visit Jordan

Despite being a small country, Jordan has two different climates. In the west this is a Mediterranean climate, and further inland this changes to a desert and steppe climate. Jordan therefore has very hot summers and cool winters. In the winter it can sometimes rain heavily. In the summer, temperatures can easily exceed 40 degrees Celsius, where it does not often get colder than 15 degrees in the winter.

Please note that at the Dead Sea, due to the lowness of the lake, it is often very hot. In Wadi Rum the day and night temperatures differ a lot, it can also go towards freezing in winter. As a result, the best travel time for Jordan is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).
